Juvederm® Injections in our Springfield Officeby Melissa Johnson MD, FACS
JUVÉDERM is used to temporarily treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds or "parentheses lines." JUVÉDERM injections use a stabilized filler to shape facial contours and smooth moderate to severe wrinkles around the nose and mouth. It has been FDA approved for the treatment of facial wrinkles and soft tissue depressions. You'll see immediate results, and injections last for about one year. Because JUVÉDERM is a simple, nonsurgical wrinkle treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime. We recommend that you avoid aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) for at least a week prior to receiving the treatment in order to reduce the risk of minor bruising or bleeding at the injection site. For cheeks, see JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™.
